You know you have spent too much time at work when... [More:]

... you catch yourself doing failure mode analyses on how the dishwasher is loaded. In your house.
Man, I swear I've been thinking about doing this post. Maybe I'll do another one called "You know you've spent too much time on Metachat when...you think of stuff to post while on the toilet".

The answer is:
when you try to open your front door with your office key (or worse - office key card)

At my job (proofreading), one of my coworkers once said, "You know you've been here too long if you try to eat your coleslaw with a red pen."

It is 9:09 pm and you are posting this from work, as I am. Granted, it's a party and I'm really just here being staff and hoping somebody buys something at the gift shop, but I'm into hour 12 of my day and there's at least another hour to go. Did I mention I was here Saturday for 10 hours? One day weekend. . .

... the only way you get to see any progress on your house is via photos, because it is never daylight when you are home.

Also have often answered the phone at home with company name. Solved that problem, though - I never answer the phone at home any more, because it's never for me anyway.
