Ok, this has bothered me for more than a decade. Ever since I saw Pavement's "Rattled by the Rush" video on Beavis & Butt-head, I can't help but think of it whenever I hear Dancin' Days, or vice-versa. So, bunny musicans and ¡música! theoristas out there, tell me true. Is there some formal or structural similarity between the music backing the refrain in "Rattled by the Rush" and the main riff of DD? Or is it all in my head?
