I don't understand. Why is it electric? What, when it comes to picking up a tortilla chip and dipping it in salsa, needs to be powered?

The bit in the middle has a heating element that keeps your cheese or chilli warm.

Hee! Armistead Maupin writes in The Night Listener how his narrator bought a ten gallon hat which wasn't blocked on a boy scout trip....he was called "penishead" for the duration.
