I am at an afternoon-long training session about 'Kid's Stuff On The Web' And, about half an hour into it, let's just say that this probably won't be the most informative afternoon I've ever spent.

I'm always looking for good kid's stuff! Let me know if anything really interesting comes up. Especially if it's dino-related. Or lion-related. Basically any alpha predator/carnivore past or present will do. My kid's a fan.

Yeah, I'm kind of a fan myself.

So far, unfortunately, the main thing I've learned is that Yahoo! and Ask have special kids versions of their search pages. Which I may have already known. Well, and that the local Goodwill store doesn't take plastic (I arrived early enough that I had some time to kill).

Here's the Internet Public Library's Fun Stuff For Kids page, though.

I bookmarked it! Thanks, box. That's really great.

Ooh, this one's kinda neat: Little Explorers Picture Dictionary. While I'm at it, here's a dictionary site for slightly older kids: Word Central.
