Very retro looking Swedish ad and here's a bit of info in it - in my mission to spread ad-law-knowledge over the world. [More:] I've ended up in 'flamewars' trying to correct people who boldly state "in Sweden, there is no advertising to children because its illegal" and then show "but they're obese too" or "they play computer games X hours a day too" or whatever it is people are blaming advertising for doing to our kids these days. So I was pretty chhuffed when I saw this film, now I can whip that out instead of typing myself hoarse repeating "it's a law in theory not in practice" over and over again. Now you too can whip this film out and win arguments!

Yay! I love whipping stuff out to win arguments!

I really love the retro look of it, too, dabs - and it's quite bold.

I wish there were a ban on children's ads here; there are some controls, but not nearly enough: "No advertising of toys between 7 am and 10 pm. A total ban on the advertising of war toys".

No food ad regulations, which is critical.

Food regulations will probably happen since this has been discussed quite frequently in the EU, and the uk put a ban on it in 2006 which is usually a sign of things to come in other countries.

I've banned it in my own house, but it can be hard to make it stick.

I've had to be kind of a pain in the arse when it comes to ads... but I'm convinced it's for the best.
