stuck in pub on a slow news day Strictly T&A: spoilt feline rides in car; large breasts featured on bad reality tv show; Amy Winehouse drunk onstage... this is why I don't take a newspaper. [More:] There was also some stuff about interst rates, plenty of pathetic moaning about football and a serial killer story... but it didn't exactly make for ideal dinner reading. what's (dis)gracing the front page of your nearest rag?
I read a tremendously shitty Op-Ed piece by Gail Collins in the New York Times today. Not that Op-Ed pages aren't universally shitty, but this one really ate poop. I'm not going to link it because I don't want her editors to get the idea that people want to read her half-assery; maybe they'll get rid of her soon (she just replaced John Tierney, who was about average for Op-Ed pagers).

More Friedman, less Dowd!

as usual, we're on the same page. the only difference is that you don't usually get to see "Susie /18/ from Brighton's" rack plus a load of paranoid shite and interest rates, immigrant workers & some serial killer's evidence bags.

Oh, and don't forget the timely support for Israel's football team.
