OMG Leaves! →[More:]My daughter was a total crank when she got off the bus from school. Crying fits, tantrums, not listening--the typical 4 year old stuff.

I took her outside and I grabbed the leaf blower to catch up on some yard work while I could and let her explore on her own and cool down a bit. When she finally got curious about what I was doing, I introduced her to the joys of the leaf pile. She loved crunching them and falling into them and at one point said, "Daddy, cover Alice please." How could I resist? I buried her except for her face and watched her discovering the sensory pleasure of being in a pile of leaves.

I'm the happiest I've been in weeks.
