I just noticed that it's my two-year MetaVersary (well, in five minutes). I know a bunch of people have their MetaVersaries soon→[More:]because I always notice that there are a whole LOT of people whose sign-up date is my birthday (which is this weekend) or the day before/after (must have been one of those "x number of sign ups" days before open membership).

When's your MetaVersary? How long's it been? And what do we get for these landmarks, anyhow? Do you know your MetaChataVersary? I don't. Prolly in a couple weeks?

Yes, I signed up for MetaChat December 6, 2005. And for the record, I like to think that after x amount of years we will all get MeFi pocket watches.

I always get confused and think I registered at Christmastime two years ago, but what I remember is TRYING to register and not being able to. I actually registered in April. I still have a while before my Metaversary.

With each new day, both the number and day sign would be incremented: 1 Crocodile is followed by 2 Wind, 3 House, 4 Lizard, and so forth up to 13 Reed, after which the cycle of numbers would restart, giving 1 Jaguar. The cycle of twenty day signs, however, would continue until 7 Flower, after which it would restart and give 8 Crocodile.

Well, to be fair, via is using the Aztec calendar, and it's easy to get confused. Obviously she accidentally calculated 8 crocodile, when it should have been 7 flower. A simple blood sacrifice should take care of that.

Mechaversary: umm, I have no idea? My oldest comment is June 6th, 2005.

That's my Metaversary too! (Nov. 18, 2004) I expect there are a lot of us on that day. And my oldest comment here is June 15, 2005.

I started lurking at Mefi during the Kaycee Nicole stuff and finally signed up October 23, 2002. Still feel like a n00b at times.

My first comment at MetaChat was May 18, 2005 (which was probably my sign up date). And I was bunny number 10 when you could still see member numbers.

hrm. Feb 15th, 2005 is my Metafilter day. I lurked for a loooong time before that, though. And my first comment on MeCha was June 7th, 2005. Holy crap the time goes quickly.

I'm a Nov. 18, 04 Mefite & my first mecha comment was June 19, 05 - funny, because I thought I joined up earlier. Wait. A little research shows that I commented here - May 19, 05 but that doesn't show up on my profile. Hmmm.
