This museum is very proud that they've exceeded their 250,000 annual visitation goal already. I hope it doesn't bother them that some large proportion of that is people like this blogger gawking at the inanity. Another large portion is, of course, buses full of youth groups engaging in an approved activity. We'll see if they can sustain their visitation - the editorial viewpoint they present is rarely accepted as truth even among evangelical Christians (the literal creation of the world in seven days, 6,000 years ago).
I feel so sorry for the kids who go to that museum. They would be very bored. Seriously, LOLxtian aside (as much as I love it), that's a lot of reading. Bo-ring.
Also, if anyone looks at these pictures and feels the need to flee the country immediately, I am now accepting marriage proposals.
Thanks for the post, 'tilda. The photos and comments were great. *sigh* But I find it extremely hard to believe that anyone can take that shit seriously. Also, thumbs up to Scalzi for making it clear (in a follow-up post) that not all Christians are Creationists and vice versa.
SassHat: I already snagged my Canadian, but thanks for offering. ;-)
P.S. After I posted it here, I realized that it had already been an FPP on Metafilter.
And yeah, LOLIDIOTS; many Christians are intelligent, pro-science people. It's just that that particular form of XIANIDIOCY has taken root bigtime in the good ole' USofA and is supported by our president and other elected officials.
