Who likes the Muumi? Say yay if you do! Man, Nuuskamuikkunen is cool. And Muumimamma is so ... Finnish.

They aren't hippos. They're Moomi.

Yes! And I've been to the Moomin museum in Tampere. But I've only read them in English and my Finnish is terrible, so I don't know which one Nuuskamuikkunen is.

I went to the Moomin shop in Helsinki! And both mygothlaundry and myself have Moomin tattoos.

My moomin post on the blue from a year or so ago. I LOVE the Moomins and so do my kids and I think I'm going to add Moominmamma and Misabel to my shoulder soon. Maybe Sniff, too. Or Edward the Booble - the possibilities are endless.

Tove Jansson's Sommarboken is pretty good too.
At one point six year old Sophie writes:

'Dear Grandmother,
I hate you.
Love,
Sophie.'

and is that snufkin with pikkumy in the goth's tattoo? sweet.

Yeah, Snufkin! Here's a bigger one - When people ask about the tattoo I say that Snufkin is my spirit guide and Little My is who I want to be when I grow up.
