Across the Universe Discuss.→[More:]I loved it, and I went in not expecting to like it. What got to me was how they got the music perfectly, for the most part. All those little hooks the Beatles put in their songs. . .from harmonies, to unusual chord changes. . .they were all there. If one (ahem) came of age when the Beatles were having their run, those things stick with you, and it was good to hear that someone else heard the same stuff in those songs.

The story, I could take or leave, but the "universe" that the film operated in was just very enjoyable.
