Waiting for the universe to realign itself [More:]Has anyone thought about what all this daylight saving is doing to the space/time continuum?
Probably not much - I don't think it cares what time we think it is. However, it's wreaking havoc on the daily routines here, though. The neighbor's normal 6AM blaring radio alarm went off, and since they were up they continued to blare the damn thing, waking everyone else up.

I'm sitting here wondering if all the timepieces that automatically adjust themselves really did. My cats start bothering me for breakfast at 6:30 am, but they don't know about the time change. Yet, here it is 6:30 am and they're wanting breakfast. I look at the window and it's lighter than it's supposed to be and I feel like I've had an extra hour of sleep, but ... seriously, why didn't the cats start waking me up an hour ago. I'm feeling a little "does anyone really know what time it is"-y right now. The cats don't know about Daylight Savings Time.

Or *do* they? *shivers*

String theory predicts that there are at least 15 parallel dimensions where my mirror-selves understand how to work the clock in their DVD players.

Steef - hahahahahahahahaha - that's one of the funniest things I've ever read here.

Daylight savings and automatically-updating clocks are always a crapshoot aren't they? The computer and cable box both adjusted at the right time, but my cell phone has yet to synchronize. I guess this space/time anomaly disperses in patches.

I feel like I'm living an episode of Star Trek:TNG or something.

My cell phone wants to live in the future.

steef: Entropy demands that most of your parallel selves don't know how to set the DVD player.

I love, love, love the extra hour of sleep. I think I have a 25 hour body clock. Can we do this every day?

I changed everything last week, prompted by my computer clock, and when my partner came home to our little space-time warp, he broke it to me that I was a week early. He was strangely disinclined to spend a week out of joint with the rest of the world, so I changed everything back.

And now I have to change everything again today.

Hmph. I'm all confused.

I love this day. I forgot all about ds, and slept till 11:45, feeling like such a bum. When I went downstairs and saw the kitchen clock said 10:46, I was all like YAY I am not a total lazy ass after all! There is still some morning left! And then I made two trays of lasagne and two big quiches and I mowed the lawn and mulched leaves and picked up sticks and drank pumpkin spice tea and when I was done I looked at the clock and it said 2:54! An extra hour every day would be awesome.
