03 November 2007

I just booked tickets [More:]for my trip to Thailand, Laos and Vietnam to from Dec 11 - January 6. wheeee! And then 5 days in Vancouver on the way back to Toronto. wooohooo! And I don't have to pay for anything (!!!) - I guess there's some benefit to researching H5N1 for a living?

Thank you for letting me squeal with joy.

I keep promising after every post I make that I will try to not lurk as much...it hasn't worked yet. I suck. Would whuffles work as a form of apology? :)
!!!

I just booked a trip this weekend too! Yay traveling!

Also: yay researching deadly diseases! I just hope the lab isn't too far from the beach cabanas.

I read about your Interpol ticket booking, mdonley - I'm excited for you. (And, I miss Riga, I grew up in Vilnus but made a few trips to Latvia as well)

Ooooo, holiday traveling!
Since this semester is kicking my ass, I keep thinking it would be really nice to just fly out somewhere and hang for a week or two after it's all over. But since this semester is kicking my ass I have had no time to research any details. Sigh.
(Also, stupid grant money people? Start paying me already so I can drop it on such a trip.)

Wow. That's great.

Well Jonmc I'm guessing that depends on how much of the virus he's carrying from place to place and how careless he is with it! ;)

That sounds like a great trip, carabiner - good reason to be excited - especially on someone else's nickel! I'm jealous, traveling bunnies.

Heh, no worries jonmc, I'm not actually transporting any viruses between countries. I think if I even tried to carry a Level 3 disease pathogen, I'd be shot. :)
