Kid Nation! Am I the only fanatic here? I love that show!
Saw a few minutes of it last night. One of the kids said, about all the work and responsibility and dog-tiredness from physical labor, something like "It's like we're not kids anymore." He didn't sound too happy when he said it.
Oh, we are addicts in our household. My fav Jarod was featured prominently last night. My sister's fav, Alex (aka Ralph Wiggum), was featured last week.
I predict Nathan will go on to something involving a murderous rampage...
LOL @ comment about Nathan! He is different, but my guess is that he's gay & doesn't know it yet. I could see him as a musician or a writer.
Jarod was hilarious last night! Very enterprising of him to think of making the necklaces. We laughed when he spent the $ on new clothes & then pranced across the town in them! He's gonna be an artist, I think.
Up until this point, it has been really serious and a lot of work for them. I was glad to see that the council decided to get some normal fun stuff with the money from the mine for everyone.
Taylor's a freakin spoiled brat that will grow up to be another airheaded useless Paris Hilton.
When he put on the clothes my sister went on the "this show is so scripted" rant. It was a little too reminiscent of a pimp suit, especially with the lollipop cane he was twirling. Hilarity.
Which one's Jake? Is that the new yellow district leader? Wait, no. That's Zack. Jake. I can't remember which one Jake is...
I refuse to start watching, if only because although I am against the idea of putting minors on reality TV, I know I'd probably get sucked in and love the show.
Jarod's outfit was a little too pimpalicious, wasn't it?
I first watched Survivor because I thought it sounded like the worst idea for a television show ever. Next thing I knew I was serving gummy rats at a Survivor finale party.
I really do like Kid Nation, actually. I know it's edited, but I'm always amazed at how much smarter and more mature kids are than adults sometimes. Buying stuff for everyone with that money was a great idea. And I loved when they said, "Kids don't hold grudges like adults do." because it's so true. I remember kids doing awful things to me and then coming over to my house to play and both of us being best friends a few days later. Yeah, kids are also incredibly cruel to eachother sometimes but adults aren't any kinder... they're just cruel in different ways.
