I went to Elementary & High School with her [More:]She was pretty then, but moved to New York City and acquired lots of style. She was always nice, and really talented. I read the article because I have grey hair, and realized I knew one of the before & afters.
I like my gray hair. It's shiny and silvery and kind of like Emmylou Harris's. It's not really enough to be noticeable until you're a couple feet away, but I'm watching its increase with interest.

Wow, even with the grey she does NOT look like she's in her 40s! Stunning skin.

I've been greying since I was 13 or so. I've also been dying for about as long, so I really don't know how far along things are now.

The missus is pretty sure she's starting to develop a skunk stripe, which I find super hawt. So bonus for me!

Gray looks kinda sexy. I've had gray hairs since my twenties and visible gray since I was about 30.

I *love* grey hair. I wish people wouldn't dye it.

Stunning skin.

Stunning digital retouchery, you mean. No real person looks like that.
Sorry, I seem to be a snarker tonight.

I also love gray hair. I wish I had more of it.

I've always loved grey hair on guys, but I'm finding it a little disconcerting that I'm going grey chin first. I look twice my age if you stand directly in front of me and about right if you stand slightly to one side.

My head only has a very little bit of gray at the temples but my beard is coming in about 1/2 gray this year. I'm mostly OK with that.

I saw my first grey hair at 17 or so. I used to colour it but stopped three or four years ago. I've been thinking about colouring again because it's at a very blah stage (I'd love for it to be more grey/silver), but I think I'll try to find one of those "violet" shampoos and give that a try. I'm seriously thinking about a perm (soft waves, not curls) because my hair is very thick, dead straight and, although I want it to look better, I have no inclination to spend hours with a curling iron or hair dryer.

I first noticed gray at 24. Everyone on my paternal grandfather's side was chestnut which went pure white, but my dad was blond which went mousy and my uncle was blond that darkened and is still quite brown. I look more like my mother's side of the family; my grandmother went mousy, then gray, chupahija and my great aunts dyed theirs.

I hate sitting still at the salon, so I will just let nature take its course.

Stunning lighting, you mean. No real person looks like that.

Fixed that for you. That 'glow' is mainly the result of proper studio lighting.

I'm getting that same grey "frosting" effect my mom had. I wish I'd gone totally white in my 30s like Dad did, though.

Stunning lighting, you mean.

Without a doubt. Professional makeup, lighting and photoshoping all had a hand in that portrait.

Negative voice here -- I don't like my gray hair. I dye it. I like my hair dark, the way it's always been.

JanetLand: some grey hair is beautiful. It gets a nice hue and retains a welcome texture. Some isn't. It's a dull or dirty color and gets horribly coarse and dull. It's like brown hair. It gets a bad rap, but some brown hair is beautiful, some isn't.

These are lovely photos. If my grey (I'm growing out dye for the first time in 19 years) is as shiny and bright as the rest of my hair, I probably won't cover it back up but if it isn't, back to the bottle I go.

Being blonde is weird. I wish I could relish the anticipation of going gray, but it means getting there through a long spell of dull beiginess.
