I just ordered a new laptop! And a router! I am finally going wireless. I am happy.
Congrats JanetLand. I love a laptop. Will you be using it for work or pleasure or both? Be forewarned: Lounging on the couch with a laptop can be oh so wonderful, but dangerous too! If you're anything like me, you'll never want to get up. :)
For pleasure, definitely, although I might take it to work since they theoretically have wireless in this building and we have to share computers in my office.
I'm really looking forward to watching youtube videos in bed all night long.
Well, people feel so strongly about these things that I am a little afraid to say, but because I have very little money I got a low-end Dell -- the Vostro 1000, from their small-business area so I could make sure it came with Windows XP.
Speaking of dell employees, this guy was in my high school graduating class. I haven't decided whether this does, or does not, give me confidence in the products.
