The Lion in Winter Why had nobody told me that I needed to watch this because of its awesomeness? Hence I do so for those of you who haven't seen it. (the 1968 version).
I have a friend who loves that movie (ok, I assume he does because there's a big framed "Lion In Winter" movie poster hanging over his sofa) but I've never seen it. I will definitely check it out.

I love that movie (but it's no A Man for All Seasons; O'Toole's marvy but Shaw Is King).

yep, Hugh, A Man for all Seasons is excellent. I don't know how this one flew under my radar for so long.

I never said goodbye to you at the meetup. So...byeee!

I like A Man for All Seasons because I'm a big Orson Welles fan, but I don't think his Cardinal can beat Hepburn's Eleanor of Aquitaine.

What's so great about this film is how the balance of power shifts back and forth so swimmingly. It's amazing.

I like how a family spat turns into a civil war.

And Hepburn: "What would you have me do, give up, give out, give in??"

Peter O'Toole played a younger Henry II in Becket, which is also a great movie.
