essexjan: I concur. None of these stories ended with people waking up two weeks later in a hotel in Berlin.

Or, as happened to two friends of mine on a trip to the South of France, coming to only to find they were now members of the French Foreign Legion. (Luckily, one of them was the son of a senior diplomat, so they were soon on their way home.)
