What beautiful weather NYC is having. I brought all the wrong clothes with me, it's like an English summer here.

Yesterday I had made some museum plans, but both the museums I wanted to see were closed, so I had a lazy day wandering round Manhattan.

I met TrishaLynn for dinner, and we went to the most fabulous French restaurant (I had the shank of lamb with the chickpea and rosemary pancake, followed by warm chocolate cake with coffee ice cream).

Then home, and, of course, HMS with the MO.

Today I'm travelling upstate to visit a friend in Woodstock for a couple of days. She's a great laugh and a very interesting person with some great stories to tell about her days as a freelance magazine journalist in LA. She knows everyone, and when I googled her, I was amazed at how many mentions she gets as 'a friend' in interviews with Hollywood stars.

I am eating too much, but walking more than normal, so hopefully one will balance out the other.

I do not want to go home.
