There's something disconcerting about shuffling through ankle-deep autumn leaves on a 75-degree day.
Yeah, it was like that in Seattle today, too. Kinda creepy, but then again it was a chance to rake things up after a wet weekend and two dry days.

I picked what are probably the last of the tomatoes today. I hate that.

But the leaves are not down yet.

It's got very cold very quickly in the UK. EssexJan is not going to like it when she comes back from the States with all the good weather she's been having.

Lovely and sunny here in the Midlands though - cold and crispy is nice, IMO.

In central Ohio, the leaves were dropping when it was still nearly 90 out because the trees were incredibly stressed from lack of rain all summer.

I'd love cold and crispy. We get to conserve water here!

It was hot and humid all day yesterday here in ATL, but then around 6 PM is started raining (yay!) and suddenly got downright COLD. Even this morning, we're soggy and chilly, but hoping for still more rain.

(Our leaves are all still green and on the trees, though.)
