I'm with elizard, as usual, but mostly because the term makes me picture a cute, chubby little infant smoking a pipe and dispensing indispensable advice, and that just creeps me the fuck out.

"Baby daddy" sounds synonymous with the derisively applied "sperm donor" -- heard about a few of those in my DivorceCare group.
