Whilst we're on the subject of Hugh Fernley Whittingstall, he's just launched a new campaign to try and help change the way that chickens are farmed. He's a passionate advocate of organic and humanely produced food, so you should absolutely check it out.

This double has not been in vein. Also: hi pie! Sorry we didn't get to talk more when we bumped into you on the bus!

It is. He's a really great guy, and possibly my favourite British 'food television' presenter. His passion for local, seasonal cuisine isn't a pose... he lives it.

My friend Al went to his recent talk about rearing pigs and said he was exactly what he seemed to be.
