Quick question: Hose or Nos? [More:]I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and I'm wearing open-toed shoes. Is it weird to go bare-legged in October or should I wear sheer hose and be sure to tuck under the seam? It's supposed to be 72.
I recommend garden hose.

I vote no hose for 72 degrees and open toed shoes.

I wouldn't, but I hate hose. Plus: 72? No way!

Hmm, that's a tough one. I'd go with nos, since I never wear hose with open-toed shoes. But then again, 72 is starting to get on my cold side, and it might be windy, and the stockings will help keep your legs warm.

If you wear hose, will the hair pop through? I hate that.

I would vote no, but I really hate hose and open-toed shoes together.

Unless the dress is really short, I wouldn't bother.

I wouldn't even think of wearing hose, but that's because, well, I wouldn't even think of wearing hose. For me, it's tights or bare legs, no in-between.

My mom's rule when I was growing up in hot-as-a-crotch Houston: you may go bare-legged if you think no one will notice.

What am I? A wookiee? The leggies are freshly waxed, baby.

72 is starting to get on my cold side
That's funny, muddgirl, because I was thinking it would be entirely too warm to wear hose. But then again, we're still running our air conditioner.

No hose it is. That's the answer I was hoping for.

I love garden hose.
I love lamp.

Yo jrossi - go bare. I'm still in flip-flops over here.

For me, it's tights or bare legs, no in-between

Yep. I haven't bought a pair of nylon-type thingies in 10 years and I never will again.

I love lamp.

I love Anchorman.

(agree about 72 being too hot! You wacky Texan, muddgirl!)

Gaspode, are you just looking at things in the office and saying that you love them?

I'm with Elsa- it's tights or bare legs. The "flesh-colored" hose are too old-fashioned for someone as sassy and sexy as yourself.

Everyone I know still wears pantyhose. But that's probably because I am old and lame. I shall start a scandal with my flash of bare ankle!

I'm really looking forward to this wedding. The groom was my very first boyfriend. My first kiss. We've been friends for more than 20 years. He's marrying a friend of mine, a girl I used to work with, whom I adore. It's going to be a really happy day. Plus, we've got an overnight sitter and a hotel room. RRRawrrrr!

72 is shorts weather here.

(actually at my high school, 15 was shorts weather, but that's a story for another day).

More accurately, 72 is shorts and a sweatshirt weather. At least it was when I lived in the Bay Area.

I admit, I hate it when temperatures fall below 76. I bought a cute fall jacket, and I can't wait for the temperatures to drop a bit here so I can wear it to work (highs of 73 next week!)

I say you turn this whole thing on its head and totally own it by wearing a pair of those weird toeless-because-it's-for-open-toes patterned/fishnet stockings with some black, patent leather, open-toed super high heels......and fire-engine red booty shorts...with a gold bikini top.........and a white "rabbit" fur coat because it's October and you don't want to catch your death of a cold, obvs.

Oh, I'm sorry...I think I misread the title of this question... /slowly backs out of the room.

Well, at least now I know what I will be wearing this weekend, kkokkodalk.

Same here!
And 72 in Buffalo is a nice summer day. So no hose.

(I'm seriously thinking about having backseam tattoos done when I get a bit closer to my goal weight so I can go hoseless more often at work. And because, well, I think it would be hawt.)

Gaspode, are you just looking at things in the office and saying that you love them?

At a previous job, I was walking down the hallway to the conference room with the company president, who was also a friend. There was a paperclip on the ground, so I kind of sing-songingly said, "Paperclip!" as we passed it.

On the way back from the conference room an hour later, the president looked down and said, "Oh, there's a paperclip on the ground! That's why you said 'paperclip.'"

"Did you really," I said, "not only assume that I randomly said 'Paperclip!' for no reason, but you also didn't bring it up for an hour? You should have fired me."

Dear God, no hose. It's in the high 30s here and I still refuse to wear hose.

If you're still following this, Jrossi4r... if it's been as sticky nasty two states over as it has these last two days in NYC: no hose.
