Woke to violent storming-- how i love storms. Maybe that's why the air is a'crackle with possibilities?[More:] Or maybe it's because now i'm kinda free to do what i please and for some reason am please to do it--
weird!

i may go for a quick run amok in the rain.

And you?
It's really fall, finally.

I woke up to rain this morning too. It was nice and makes me want to cuddle. However, the BF had to leave for work at 2.30am. Since he was gone, I tried to snuggle with Mango (my hedgehog) but she was disinterested. Hrumph.

Mango is a cutie but are hedgehogs every in a snuggly mood?

She loves to snuggle! Here she is with the BF.

Really, she likes to burrow, which seems like snuggling.

I went to sleep to violent storms last night.

I drove home in violent storms last night. In my mom's new car. White-knuckling it all the way.

Damn, the rain is letting up. Now it just feels damp.

Apparently, locks of love needs ten inch minimum donations. Man, my hair feels heavy.

Now i'm wondering if i could catch some time at the Art Institute if i train in before i catch a ride, as i never have gotten to do much there.

I want to get my hair cut, and I have considered Locks of Love, but since my hair is wiry and grey, apparently it's a non-starter with them. It's way past long enough, though.

If i had decent rubberbands at hand, i don't know if i could keep myself from chopping it off. It's literally a burden.

What I wouldn't do for big crackling violent storms right about now. Normally, I am as nervous as a longtailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs with thunderstorms, but these days I'll take ANYTHING that comes. Central North Carolina is in such a drought right now, I can't even remember when we last had rain. It's still in the 80's during the day (WTF, global climate change?!?) and the trees aren't even turning yet. We have the slimmest chance of rain this afternoon, and perhaps tomorrow it will storm. Bring it!

I totally miss storms, living in London. Most of the time it's just drizzle, with the occasional downpour, but thunder and lightning is lamentably absent. Storms are energising.

It's bucketing down here--msali, I'd be happy to send you some of our rain, if I could. As often happens during these storms, I've discovered a new leak, this time around the window frame in the kitchen. Apparently we're catching the tail end of a tropical storm from china, with thousands of people w/out power along the south coast. Went across the road to feed & socialize (read: snuggle) some rescue kittens we're keeping there and got drenched within 5 minutes. I miss thunder and lightning, though--we don't get much of that 'round these parts. Got the fire going good and towels under the window leaks (the one in the living room is acting up again), and am about to settle down with some hot tea and some editing, before braving the storm to get more wood and do some more kitty visiting.

I love the sound of rain on the skylight. Makes me happy to be inside, warm and dry.

danf - they take grey hair and sell it to offset the manufacturing costs. My hair (mix of grey and brown) is a bit short to donate, but I think I'll let it grow to 10 inches then donate it.

Thanks, ethylene!

It's as warm and muggy as ever. i have been duped.
Faux fall fakery.
grrr.

i should call shelters and see if any kittens need rescuing.

I love storms, but that should be no surprise, that's what the username really means. We're in a drought too, but not a terrible horrible awful brown one.

It finally broke open again, taking the tornado watch with it.
Time to run around in the rain!
