Seriously, as fun as they have been to watch, the world could end right now and everything would be good. They are so much fun to watch play since they do all the basics so well. They play such awesome defense, they get clutch hitting, and the pitching has been amazing. 21 wins out of 22 games, they kick ass. If they don't win the world series, this has been an amazing run, and one for the records. A fantastic time for all of us in Colorado!!!!
And take that Byrnes. Don't think the Rockies outplayed you? How does being the last out of the series taste? Huh? Wait, the Rockies did get lucky - lucky you can't hit, mo fo.
Whew! Baseball. For a second I thought you all experienced some kind of cataclysmic geological event that had the Rocky mountains sweeping over the state of Arizona.
The Yanks flamed out again. That is all I care about. I am semi-happy, even with the Dodgers pooping out.
(Plus the prospect of a Denver-Cleveland late October series. . .it's delicious. . .sleet, snow, maybe a blizzard. Might make them think about shortening the season.)
Truly an impressive performance - I've been rooting for Colorado ever since the Cubs were eliminated. And maybe, just maybe, the Nationals will make the playoffs next year.
