Fitness update. →[More:]
As some of you will know, after I got back from New York in June I was shocked when I saw the photos at how fat I'd let myself get. So I embarked on a diet and fitness programme.
Thank you to everyone for the encouragement you've given me.
I haven't been as diligent about it as I'd have liked, because, well, there's real life to live and on the days when I've got up at 5.30am to be in the office by 7, I really don't feel much like working out hard when I get home at 5pm.
But I've tried hard, and I've (mostly) stuck to my diet.
So, here are the results.
Total weight loss 33lbs.
According to the BMI charts (and the mirror) I am still overweight, and I know I still have a long way to go to get to optimum fitness. My arse and thighs are still wobbly, but there's definitely less of them.
Over all, I'm delighted with my progress and the before and after pictures are definitely an incentive to continue.
Here I am on June 18 2007. A horrible sight, I was so miserable that I'd allowed myself to get so fat.
