Enjoyable moments It's been a long time since I've gone to a concert alone, but out I went last night. Gene Bertoncini was playing at the local community college
[More:]
It was an audience of about 150, so a nice intimate time. With a bit of age creeping in on him, he mostly sat hunched over his guitar playing tunes from classic jazz to Broadway with a classical thrown in.

When he started into the tune "Stardust" I noticed a few in the audience finger along with in the begining (until he segueyed into improvisation). Twas a nice moment.

Went up to thank him afterwards and was waiting for some others to finish speaking with him. Such an approachable person! People were asking him about his guitar, etc and he took the time to converse, encourage, treat each as a valuable human.

I was the only female for some reason or other...so, he asks this guy next to me if I was his spouse. No, not. So he immediately starts trying to set us up. Until he noticed that I'm still wearing my wedding band... So cute.

I'm glad I made myself get out. Was nice.
What's up with the rest of the non-bunnystockers?
Good for you, mightshould! Sounds like a really enjoyable evening. 150 people is a nice size audience - I'd totally rather see someone in that setting than a giant stadium ordeal any day. Cool you got to talk with him, too! I love doing stuff solo - you can leave or stick around when you want, you don't have to coordinate with anyone.

We gnashed our teeth to the Cleveland game, but were happy for the Rockies!

I went out on a double-date-type-thing with MuddDude and our good friend and his new girl. She's sort of quirky, but it seems to be going well with them. We turned in early, and now we're going to a plant nursery to buy some shrubs for our backyard.
