Weather report! Tomorrow's high here in nippy Riga is 39F/4C! What's happening in your neck of the woods?→[More:]
The night sky is amazingly clear because there's a very strong wind outside, and it's coming through the blocks of apartments in my neighborhood like a hurricane. No moon that I can see. The heat's just come on in the last few days and is on again tonight; it's probably about 35F/2C outside. Rain is forecast for the weekend and I imagine the forecasters will be correct given how frequently it seems to rain here compared with home in Los Angeles.

So beautiful it makes your teeth hurt. 72F/22C here, low humidity, blue skies. It's nice to be able to see the actual leaves on trees in the distance instead of blurry green suggestions.

Right now in lovely Jacksonville, FL, a mile from the ocean, we're having clear skies, 71°F, light sea breezes off the Atlantic, and perfect fishing and golf weather for the next several days.

It's dropped 50 degrees this week; it was 88F on Sunday and it was 38F this morning. I love the cooler weather but I'm sort of dreading finding out how much it's going to cost to heat our leaky three-story victorian monster of a house.

Clear skies, low 60s. Overnight temps in the 40s, and fog. I cannot tell you how happy I am that it's fall again.

We actually got cloudy and showery here in the Californium Central Coastiness, less than a quarter-inch of wet before it moved inland, currently 61F/16C and overcast-y, down from a maximum 64F/18C, not expected to get below 51F/11C tonight. Coming up several days in the 71F/22C range with the next 'chance' of showers Tuesday. Hey, I needed a shower.

34°F/1°C now, and probably the same all weekend with the added bonus of snow. It's been a warm October so far.
