1. I've been watching a lot of old Miss America pageants.

3. I just looked at Twitter, which I just heard of today, and I don't get the appeal at all.

1. I did good today. Something really good at work. I am proud of my achievements today.

2. This time next week, all being well, I'll be on a plane on its way to NYC.

3. I have got shedloads to do before then, both at home and at work. It'll all get done, but I need to make some lists.

1. I just got back from lunch, in the atrium of my building. As I sat down at one of the public tables to eat, an old feller ran up and claimed the table for himself. I said, "I was here first, but you're welcome to share it with me." He proceeded to blow his nose, several times, at my food. I stood up, saying, "Nice work, man, you ruined my lunch. You want it?" He looked at me without speaking. I left without clearing my food away.

2. So I didn't have lunch, and this obtuse old man dented my good mood a bit. I tried to call my brother, but his line was busy (no surprise). Maybe I'll try again in a few.

3. Next week I'm leading a tour, with a friend of mine, of Gramercy Park and its environs, including the Player's Club and the National Arts Club, for members of the International Center of New York. I'll be taking the day off work, and I'm looking forward to it.

- I'm happy because today is my semi-day off where I get to just go teach kids art for a couple of hours.

- I bought some AMAZING delicious cortland apples a few days ago and can't wait to get paid so I can buy mooooorrre. It feels like I've been waiting a lifetime for a good apple.

- It rained like a mofo yesterday.

1. I am so jealous of you Bunnystock people. I found out yesterday that even though she's still coming to visit, the BF's aunt is not going to actually stay with us at all while she's here. This makes me feel like I could have gone to Bunnystock since I just saw her in July. *sigh*

3. Spent the day going through old files. While I can kind of understand the thinking behind tossing an entire newspaper in which this museum was mentioned into the files, I'm not quite sure why I'm the first person to look through them since 1994. Did we really need to keep the sports section for 13 years, people?
