Baby Possums! OMG! In a box!

that needs to go to the cute overload, as there is an ongoing debate there over whether possums are cute or not.

I am not sure which side of the debate this picture would be used on - perhaps both.

Perhaps we should have a mock trial. Baby Possums: Cute or Creepy?

When I looked at that I imagined them all simultaneously yelling "AHHHHHHHH!" Those ears look so shiny and soft.

Years ago a litter of those popped up, posed, on my cannister Electrolux vacuum. They'd gotten in via the dryer vent.

The only picture I have of a possom is a huge scary one (and it's on film, not digital, so I can't share). He looked really dirty. I think they're cute when they're babies but get ugly when they get old and grumpy.

I had a bad summer once where I ran over three possums (on three separate occasions). I don't deserve such cuteness.

I have old film pictures of a baby possum on my fence, and of a very stuffed possum playing dead in the bottom of my garbage can. He'd eaten several containers of cookies we'd thrown out, and could not get out of the can. I gently tipped it over, and he waddled off into the night.
