Once when I was a kid, I had a Doctor or Dentist appointment (I forget which) and there was a book in the waiting room about two little girls searching for a kidnapped basset hound.→[More:] I got totally wrapped up in it. Then the Doctor called me in before I finished. After the doctor was done, i asked my mom if I could stay and finish the book since it was so cool. She grudgingly agreed. Up until a Mefi or Mecha thread a year or so ago. I still couldn't remember the title.

Today when I was unloading a customers books, there it was and I recognized it instantly and of course bought it. I read it on the subway. It was better than I remembered, even. I needed a pick-me-up. (I bought this, too, but for entirely different reasons.)
