Report your plans for the weekend, stat! [More:]Tonight, dinner with my boo. Tomorrow, church book sale for most of the day. Sunday, church (which will include auditioning the organ candidate everyone on the committee likes- the fact that we all seem to be agreeing on a candidate both shocks me and fills my heart with joy.)
Looking for work. Drinking. Repeat as necessary.

Sunday - Recovery

Just out of interest, is "stat" the latest thing to say? I've noticed it more and more over the last couple of months. Not a snark/criticism at all, I'm just interested.

Anyway...

Continue moping this evening, seeing my sister and my niece tomorrow (yay!), chilling out and doing not much else. Possible hot date in the evening. Sunday: getting things sorted out for work after a three week holiday. Monday is doing to suck horribly.

Tonight - I'm watching 'Saturday Night Fever'. It's almost finished. John Travolta is astonishing. It's years since I saw it and I'd forgotten about the gang rape of Annette. I'm also surprised to see what a really bad dancer Karen Lynn Gorney, who played Stephanie, is. I know Travolta is an amazing dancer, but Stephanie is wooden and stilted, whereas Annette is a far, far better dancer with natural rhythm and the early scenes where she dances with him work far better (for me) than when he's dancing with Stephanie.

Tomorrow - a trip to Romford to buy some shoes and a few other bits and pieces for my NYC trip. I need some new sweaters and there's some good stores in Romford, as well as a great market. And a Brantano shoe outlet and a TK Maxx next door to each other. (It's TK Maxx in England, so it's not confused with TJ Hughes, of which there is also a branch in Romford.)

Sunday - MEETING GASPODE! w00t!

Tonight I am making spinach pancakes with bacon wrapped dates for myself (and may have a late drink with Cute Guy) and making chocolate buttermilk cupcakes for my sister. Tomorrow I am having lunch and attending a lecture with a friend and then definitely a movie with Cute Guy. Sunday, I will puttering around the house, trying to deal with the influx of furniture, and generally ordering things so I can stop being mortified every time Cute Guy comes over.

Sunday, probably more birthday shopping (here), and preparing for PDF next week!

In about 10 minutes or so I'm heading to the beach to do a 5K walk to benefit the American Heart Association. My husband is meeting me there to walk with me. After the walk we might grab a bite and see a movie. There is a complex right on the beach at the starting and ending point that serves food and has a movie theater. We won't even have to go home and change.

Tomorrow - baseball with the kids and my mother. I have to be there at the crack since it's picture day. I'm bringing my nephew along too. This should be an adventure.

Saturday night -- who knows.

Sunday - Going to the park and museum the kids. There are a couple great exhibits I want to see. Maybe some cleaning if I have the energy. Turning in early, I have a volunteer thing early Monday a.m.

Today: Hanging out with Zack_Replica, avoiding responsibility. Maybe go see Eastern Promises and go to Chinatown to eat, in which case I should manage to pick up some tea. Maybe not.

Tomorrow: Running around doing the errands I may or may not avoid today, including the fifth trip to the hardware store for more parts to jerry-rig this alleged 'kit' I bought months ago to install a shower. Go see my friends play at the local rockabilly jam, pack my stuff.

Sunday: HOOOOOOOMMMMME! I'm going home! Wheeeeeee! Hug kitties, dance around cabin with kitties, call wood guy so I don't freeze to death.

A friend's party on Saturday. Also laundry and lots of writing. Might try to spend a little time up in the hills, too. This is only the second cloudy weekend we've had since the spring, so it still feels special and rare, and all sorts of interesting seasonal smells are emerging, which will interest Crosbie the dog.

Tonight: Giving away free tickets for a comedy show in St. Louis (show is tomorrow at The Pageant) - is there anyone here that lives in St. Louis, MO that would like tickets to a show tomorrow night?

Also tonight: Maybe a haircut and doing laundry. I'm in the process of laundering winter stuff so that it'll be ready to go should it ever cool down enough to require warm clothes.

Tomorrow: Laundry. Maybe a haircut if I don't manage it tonight.

Sunday: Who knows.

Sun: Kicking mike9322's stinky fantasy butt.
Dano's finally getting an anus! Fantasy anus!

Tonight: Just got back from dinner out with my sister and her family. It was great. We're soooo lucky to have good "going out" kids. They are super well behaved and make me so very proud.

Tomorrow: Mr. rossi is going to a bachelor party. That sucks. Not because I'm anti-bachelor party, but because I was always "one of the guys" until the guys got married, then I became "one of the wives." Now I don't get to do fun stuff like go to bachelor parties. Instead I have to go to bridal showers. It's a sucky, sucky trade-off.

BUT I'm two margaritas and two beers into the evening and the Phills are up 4 to zip, so I really can't complain too much. GO PHILLIES!!!!

Friday: work on kitchen progressing, went to movies at Quad, was told yesterday by Home Depot that I would have to come into store and speak with woman in appliances as orders more than a year old are no longer in their records, waited over an hour to get my original invoice copied, have to wait until Monday to schedule delivery of washer and dryer as HD has to call manufacturer, went to Hitchcock movie in Brooklyn, wanted to have full sit down dinner beforehand but only had time for fast food, came home and brought computer back into office (the holes which had been knocked in ceiling and wall to fix plumbing were being patched back up). Am very relieved my picture isn't in the NYT.

Saturday: Get apples at Union Square, gym, dance performance by troupe of classmate from college.

Sunday: Straighten up bedrooms.

Friday: Oh, boy - We got four large-ish ficus trees delivered for the house! They are about six feet tall each, which is pretty good, but we have really high ceilings... so my imaginary trees were actually a little more grand. Nevertheless, they look great, and I'm beginning to feel better and better about the new place as we manage to get a few things that we really needed... and the trees, which we didn't, but which make my heart happy.

Saturday: Hm. A bit of a question mark. We thought mister taz was working today, but he's not (but he worked all night last night, so he will probably sleep most of the day). Would like to coerce him into hanging two antique mirrors in the kitchen, but will probably fail in this effort. I will go grocery shopping... and probably cook some fish chowder. However, I also have an idea about checking out a cool, hidden little ouzerie that I stumbled upon, if V. feels like it this evening, so we may eat there instead. I am going to start clearing out our "second front parlor" (I really have no idea what to call that room), and try to figure out what it should look like in the end. Right now it has a bunch of my husband's work equipment in there, and a couple of boxes that still haven't been unpacked since we moved.

Sunday: Would like to re-pot the giant yucca in the courtyard that is pretty much just growing on water and air at this point, having far outgrown its pot probably years ago. I had a giant pot and soil delivered with the new ficus trees, but it's going to be a tough job, requiring both of us, so it's also up to mr. man. This yucca also needs a couple of substantial ring growths of brown, dead leaves removed (probably the results of past summers when there was no one around to water it)... and, really, the top should probably be lopped off and transplanted to a container of its own, but I have the feeling autumn is not the best time to do this. Otherwise, I plan a seriously lazy day. There will definitely be food and wine involved.
