9 full baths, 2 three-quarter baths, 5 half-baths, 9 fireplaces... packed into a measly 32,000 square feet in lovely Orono, Minnesota. And all for only $53,000,000 US. Who says the market is crashing?[More:]Supposedly, this is Kevin Garnett's house, for those of you who give a shit about sports....
LOL. The cedar closet (upper) is bigger than my bedroom.

Yeah, and at 1300 square feet, the master bedroom is larger than any apartment I've ever lived in.

Knock off a $50,000,000 discount for its Minnesota location, and I'll take it!

Why ... why ... why do you need 16 bathrooms? I mean, I adore bathrooms, seriously, and when I get rich and famous I plan to have a good number of nicely appointed ones. Still ... sixteen? SIXTEEN? It makes no sense to me.

We should all chip in and buy it, and turn it into the Bunny Mansion.

I bet there's even a cabana in the pool complex for our beloved Cabana Boy. I'm in for 50 bucks.

Chip on your shoulder much?

That's no chip, pieface, that's a simple truth.

Not much, no. I'm not talking about the simply affluent (i.e. those who could afford that home if they, as you said earlier, knocked $50 million bucks off the price as a Minnesota discount).

I'm talking about the very, very wealthy. People who live in a completely different world than the vast majority of the rest of us-- a world of $53,000,000 homes, 12-car garages, yachts moored at Lyford Cay, a stable of polo ponies in Palm Beach, penthouse pieds-a-terre on Park Avenue-- and have very little understanding of the way most peoples' lives actually work-- even if they came from poor or middle-class backgrounds themselves.

Those people? They tend to be very full of a very specific kind of shit. Not all of them, of course, but a lot of them.

Plus, it was a joke.

Lighten up.

As an addendum, I sure hope this one is a misprint on the price...

You'd have to pay me that much and give me the house to live in Minnesota. And then I'd probably just turn around and sell it.

So long as they weren't having dog fights in there, it's fine by me.

The only thing that I covet is the indoor pool. If I had an indoor pool, I would be in it all the time. Just put a big TV in viewing distance , a fridge and a magical underwater microwave and I'd pull a reverse Ariel.

ah Minnesota hate... love ya too guys.

Minnesota Hate: It's just the juxtaposition of a home that big in a place that has those balmy winters. Why? Whhhhhy?

I tend to get pissed off when I see the "nice" homes on the benches that look like office complexes. If you're going to spend millions at least get it right, set an example for us gutter dwellers.

All those bathrooms, and only three bedrooms? Am I missing something?

With only three bedrooms, I'm afraid we'd all have to get to be much better friends before this could be suitable as Bunny Manor.

I think the winters are a selling point! Tons of snow, sub zero temps etc - LOVE IT!

As opposed to? Ontario? New York? And houses like this are found in every State and every Provence. Bet ya $5 I can find something godawful about where each and every one of you lives, some reason to make fun of it and disparage it. Sometimes the most provincial minds are found in the most urban bodies.
