A designer where I used to work left out the L in "public" on the cover of a brochure.

desjardins: the first thing I do when I get a new computer is change "pubic" in the spellcheck to a misspelling. It was a minor problem when I worked for the appellate defender and occasionally needed to use the word "pubic" in a document, but it spared me filing documents referring to the trial attorney as the "pubic defender" more than once.

I work for a textbook publisher. Someone decided that while waiting for an art credit to come in from the permissions department, that "This Person is a jagoff © 1971. Photo courtesy of Yo Mama."

Since it followed the correct pattern of styling it got overlooked. Oops!

So of course I clipped it out and pinned it to my wall. And that designer? He's since "moved on to new opportunities."
