Oh man, I know that epicenter of the Northridge quake so well, having driven through the intersection several hundred times and stopped at the 7-11 to get a Big Gulp I shouldn't have been drinking dozens of times before AND after the big shaker. It was funny how that place took such little damage (until the hordes descended and bought out all its bottled water and batteries). And the infamous collapsed apartment building (that pancaked down from three stories and appeared to anyone not familiar to the area like a normal one-story building) was .35 miles north of there.
