I'm so sick of the lunarnormative bullshit that goes on here. →[More:]Once again I've had to endure the tired chorus of "but the moon landing shouldn't come up often in normal conversation" over at AskMe. Well, I guess not if you only spend time with people from your same sociolunar background! This is just like a bunch rich, white frat boys arguing that "racism doesn't exist" because they never have to deal with it themselves--no kidding, they just hang out with people just like them!

I escaped my lunarnormative past and now I hang out with people with all sorts of opinions about the moon. Some people think the moon landing was fake, some think the moon itself is fake. Others think the moon is a 5-star hotel for the super-rich lizard race that rules the world. With that kind of diversity, you can bet the moon will come up pretty damn regularly.
