Wow, that's the lowest rating I've seen. [More:]

I laughed.

I'm going to see Eastern Promises instead.
There was a movie a while back that had a 0% rating for a while. Can't remember what it was though.

I wish these critics would stop beating around the bush and tell us what they really think about this flick.

I know 'Drop Dead Fred' was rated below 10%, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

Okay, so I read the two reviews which RT judges to be positive. They're kind of insane.

Just for yuks, a quote from each:
While his performance suffers as Chuck supposedly is being driven crazy by his love for Cam and fear the curse will take her away, he’ll always be able to point to the first half of the movie as his Forrest Gump, Training Day or any other career defining acting performance by someone who will never appear in a Dane Cook movie.

When Charlie was 10 years old he had a no-good encounter with a goth schoolmate who put a anti-love hex on him.

Since I have a shrine to the Brazilian diety Exu, I understand the power of the hex. (Exu, known as Eleggua in Santeria and Legba in Candomble, is called The Divine Messenger. He is the owner of the roads and doors in this world. Of the Orisha deities, he is both the highest and the lowest. With Oya, he rules over the four winds. He is a great healer and a master magician. His spells and amulets are all powerful and impossible to destroy.)

Daddy Day Camp is at 2%.

I think I was thinking of License To Wed which is at 8% now. God I hate Robin Williams.

the problem is not with the low ratings, we all know those movies are shit just by glancing at the poster; the problem is, more and more often, I actually hate -- and I mean hate -- movies with very high ratings, on rotten tomatoes or metacritic.

that's the problem.

I won't name movie titles cause I don't want to derail

Good idea for a new post matteo

box, those quotes are hilarious.

matteo, I don't mind a derail. This post didn't have much substance to start with.

For some reason I thought Unforgiven was 100 percent Fresh. It's highly rated, but not 100 per cent. Maybe I am thinking it with Braveheart. I know they loved Braveheart.

I saw the preview for Good Luck Chuck a couple of months ago and for the first minute or two I sincerely thought it was satire, a parody of a screener for a prototypical crappy movie.

I don't get out much.

"movies with very high ratings"

Even worse are films that win Best Picture like Crash. I didn't hate it, as a soap opera it's passable (75% rating on rottentomatoes), but as an Emmy winner, it is overrated schlock.

The makers of this shameful waste of celluloid have padded their work with fat jokes, homophobic jokes, gratuitous nudity

one of these things is not like the other...

Here you go: 0% with 40 reviews. Now available on DVD!

Yeah, jonmc, I'm with you. The first fat suit or homophobia, and I'm out, but ain't nothin' wrong with a bit of nakey-nake just for the sake of nakey-nake.

That was less cutesy in my head.
