That's when I realized that if I amortized the cost over several years, and factored in likely increases in energy costs, repairing the hot water heater was actually less expensive than replacing it!

It's got 133,000 miles on it and it's paid off. Even though it says "Mercury Villager" it's really a re-branded Nissan.
