She's awesome. Also awesome: Mary Louise Parker from Weeds.

I do not understand the love people have for Tina Fey. I find her intensely annoying and 30 Rock entirely unwatchable. And that new Amex commercial is so incredibly solipsistic and smarmy that it makes me want to break something-- anything-- every single time. Her shtick seems to be something along the lines of:

LOOK HOW NEUROTIC I AM! IT MUST BE BECAUSE I'M A WOMAN! I WISH I COULD JUST FIND LOVE TO MAKE ME HAPPY! THANK GOODNESS I'M A SUCCESS! RIGHT? I'M A SUCCESS, AREN'T I? I CAN'T TELL BECAUSE I'M NEUROTIC!

And so forth. Intolerable.

Mary Louise Parker is great, though.

I love Tina Fey. I love The Baldwin. I can't stand 30 Rock. Oh, well.

That surprises me, eamondaly, because one of the things I like about Tina Fey is that she doesn't strike me as particularly neurotic. Certainly not in the same way that say Mary Richards or Ally McBeal were.

mullacc and pup, you'll have to get in line behind my daughter. . .She never misses Fey. She quit watching SNL after Fey left.

I sense a crush, but then she's also got on for that woman on Cold Case.

Oh, you mean my boyfriend's girlfriend, Tina Fey?

Yeah. I really liked seeing her expand a little, get some wiggle room to be nutty and funny and crass and not be suited up behind a desk.

We just watched most of 30 Rock last night, and an hour in, I turned to him and told him, "I think she's our girlfriend, Tina Fey now."

Tina Fey is pretty, and funny and smart. But she also has that impenetrable deadpan thing going on which kind of freaks me out a bit.

She's my hero.

Umm, no. Tina Fey is MY GIRLFRIEND. We're getting married. I'm having her babies.

And I'm a straight woman in a perfectly happy relationship. Would I dump The Boyfriend for Brad Pitt? No. Ben Affleck? Not a chance. Zac Efron? (Umm, hello, I'm not The Pink Superhero!) Milo Ventimiglia? Almost certainly not.

But Tina Fey? In a heartbeat.

She and I are not only getting married and having each other's babies, but we're going to be best friends and I'm going to be her protege, and she's going to make me very rich and famous, and we'll live happily ever after.

Is she someone I'd have to watch tv to know about? *googles, finds pictures of her in glasses* Oh yeah, I liked her in SNL. I haven't seen her in anything since.
