Dadcando.com - a website for men with children in their lives, even if they aren't yours.
[More:]
I am not a father, or even a man. Actually, I have never even really had a father, but I was lucky enough to have an Uncle who looked after me. I wish dadcando had been around for him while he was making a difference in my life, but it is around for YOU!
When I was growing up, "fathering" was kind of a passive thing. My dad worked his tail off, played with us every now and then, and that was it. And he was actually one of the more involved dads I know. It's nice to see a site devoted to "fathering" as something active, something that deserves thought and energy, that deserves discussion and community.

(And hi, goml! Nice to see you!)

Hear, hear. Fathering is the one thing our society so surely lacks.

Oh, my, that makes me miss my dad, who made us waffles for Sunday dinner and made up ridiculous songs and pretended to be a human crane and who would occasionally perform the amazing feat of putting a whole Ritz cracker in his mouth just to watch us goggle. Well, it seemed like a big deal to us.
