I think a pretty lace tank top (or camisole) would make it look more casual, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - who wouldn't want to wear that dress more often?

I don't know your cup size, so I don't know if products like a plunge bra would work for you. Here's another style. I've never tried these adhesive bras, but I've heard OK things about them. If you're quite zaftig in the bosom, then your only option may be a pretty undershirt.

The right cami--lowcut, lacy--would probably be OK, but it would have to be just right. I don't know. But I bet iconomy will. She's good at this stuff.

What about a chemise, or teddy, or whatever you call it in your neck of the woods? Like a tank, but lacy and satiny. Like this (but not exactly this, but I don't have time to look further right now):

Or buy a piece of lace in a color that matches, and span it across your cleavage, and pin each side to a bra strap. Works for me!

How about a very delicate, lacy cami? (On preview: yep, that seems to be thec consensus!) Should look much more dressy than an plain layering cami. (I have to give the thumbs way down on the bra with clear straps, too. Sorry.)

Clear strap bras don't really work because people stare, trying to figure out what that thing is and then you're not really fooling anyone or hiding your bra strap. I have success with adhesive bras and plunge bras, but I don't have much boobage. Something very delicate and silky would work nicely, if you can't ditch the bra.

What you mean by "middle bra strap"? My bras only have two straps, one on each side!

Do you mean that your bra straps show up on the inside of the V? In which case, well, have you seen this AskMe thread?

As various people have said, if your camisole were turquoisey blue, or if it were cream and a little lacy, it wouldn't look like underwear, but the cami's straps would still show.

tangerine - she means that the material between the cups shows. Not the over-the-shoulder straps, but the between-the-boobs part.

Sorry tangerine, bad wording on my part. I mean the middle of the bra, where the cups come together. This is the part that shows just above the point of the V on my dress.

I am embarassed to say I never even thought of a lace cami. What immediately came to mind when I was talking to the girl in the shop was a plain cotton cami, which I didn't think really worked with a silk dress. A lacy cami is a brilliant idea and I think would go well with the dress. I think probably cream is the best color as it will give a a little bit of coverage but not take away from the dress itself, which is what I was afraid a cami would do.

I wear a cup size C, so I don't think anything too out of the ordinary, but it is low cut enough where I feel a bit self conscious. I may however, try to find a plunge bra as well as that be a bit more comfortable.

Just to think, if it had been cut one inch higher, it would have been a 100% perfect dress! These suggestions all help though, thank you!

Gosh, that's a beautiful dress! I agree with the lacy or a matching silky turqoise (undoubtedly impossible to find) cami.

This is cotton, so not what you want, but I love wearing a bodysuit under too low-cut dresses, because it doesn't move or bunch.

Why don't you get a U bra?
