New job! →[More:] So in a surprise development, I had an interview for a new job within my company today, and I GOT IT! :D

My current group is in a downsizing mode (official party line is our group of what was 26 will be cut to 4 in the next year and a half).

A former boss of mine who is now a manager in another area had an opening. I found out about it yesterday and officially applied for it. He called me this morning and said he wanted to meet with me if I had the time; it turned out to be a full-blown interview with him (who will be my new administrative manager) and the guy who will be my new functional manager. And I was wearing jeans, sneakers and a golf shirt.
