Funny you mention him. I just gave hundreds of mp3s to my friend in Egypt so he could hear new music, and I included some Nick Lowe. I told my friend that some of the songs I included were joke or pop stuff I just threw on there for fun.

I meant like Vanilla Ice & stuff, but he immediately said, "Like that song about breaking glass?" Took me a minute to realize what he was talking about and then I had to explain to him that was actually not a joke song, that Nick Lowe is pretty cool. He said, "But why would anyone sing about loving the sound of breaking glass? Unless there is something wrong with them?" I couldn't really argue with him.
