The Colorblind James Experience were a band from Rochester, New York, whose sound was a peculiar mix of jug-band, folk, country & polka, sometimes characterized as ‘circus rock.’ →[More:] After their 1987 debut LP came to the attention of John Peel, they gained some modest fame in the UK & elsewhere in Europe, while remaining a strictly local act at home.
