I want one! Knitted Daleks! [More:]I just might have to learn how to knit to make one... Or pay someone to make one.
Crocheting is a little bit easier than knitting, I think.

Know what's easier than knitting or crocheting? Baking!

Holy Crap, those are fantastic!!

I'm an avid knitter, but I feel zero temptation to knit one of those.

Now I want Cybermen.

drezdn, how far along in "Who" are you? I think BBC America is showing season 2, amiright?

SPOILER ALERT: There's a nasty new Dalek on the season 3 horizon — appropriately enough, in the sewers of Noo Yawk, so you'll want to knit this version, I would guess.

Love it! Too bad I neither knit nor crochet. I bake, but then I would be compelled to eat it!

I'd knit it.

rob511, Sci-Fi channel is up to season 3, so I did get to see the cool daleks (and my favorite 2-parter so far... The one in England just before WWI).

This show is so difficult sometimes... they'll do amazingly good episodes like Blink or (two-parter mentioned upthread) Family of Blood and follow them up with some absolute shite from the pen of Russell T Davies.

I'm glad they're getting rid of him! I am not, however, thrilled about the prospect of Katherine Tate as the new sidekick. Kylie will be a welcome addition for Crimmis, though.

For you, typewriter, here is Extermination by Chocolate.

I freaking HATED Donna in the xmas special, and am not looking forward to a whole season with her.

And I had to send this link to a friend I've been slowly turning into a fan of the Doctor. She's a huge knitter. (we've got every episode so when hanging out I'll put one or two on. At first it was "ugh, scifi cheese." Last night we watched Army of Ghosts, she insisted we put on Doomsday right after, and then we both cried.)

Although... what the hell is this? Series four in 2008, but series five won't be until 2010? That's just cruel.

"The full-length fifth series will transmit in 2010." =(

Aw man...

I guess I'll have to watch Torchwood in the meantime. And what an absolutely abysmal show!

I like torchwood.

But I suspect a lot of that is because of the large number of indecent acts I would enjoy performing with Captain Jack.

As we're on the subject of knitting, how cute is this, a kitty in a poncho.

OK, that's so cute it burns.
I wish I could knit, but I'm allergic to wool so I think it would just frustrate me.

Hee. But essexjan, the ingredients might not make the assembly stage!

And also kitty in a poncho. Hee.
