Access Man, I hate it. Is there a local guru who can help me?[More:] I built a purchase order database and I have five items, five item costs... I want to put a total in, and it needs to be an unbound object or query, but I have no idea how to proceed...
The last database I used was Paradox.

Sorry.

I know a little Access, but probably not enough to help. Sorry!

Thanks anyway.

I can probably help. You want the total of the five items, or all the potential totals of any of the five? Where does this total need to show up?

Chuck, I have built my own purchase order database in Access (97). It works pretty well; if you would like to take a look at it, drop me an email.

Er, or if that isn't helpful, could you clarify your question? I'm not sure exactly what it is you're trying to do.

Consider yourself emailed.

I'm trying to put a autocalculated five-item total on the form which doesn't write to the table...

Consider yourself emailed back. Let me know if that helped.

Have you seen MarkovFilter? || Am I the only one here who hated "Knocked Up"?
