Who is the guy in the photo? It's making me crazy. I'm pretty sure it's he's older than that now, and he's either an actor or a director. My 19 year old co-worker is in love with this guy, and insists that it's a young Martin Scorcese. I keep telling her it isn't, and showing her photos of young MS as proof, but she won't believe me. I've seen this guy a zillion times. Who is it?
Thanks, Smartie! I never even thought to read the newsprint. She told me that in the article it said that he was Martin Scorcese, so since it's impossible for a newspaper to be wrong, she won't believe it's not him. Now I can be smug for a couple of minutes ;P
Even though I was totally wrong about him being an actor, and I have never heard of Leonard Michaels...
leonard michaels is one of my all-time favorite writers. his first two short story collections (i would have saved them if i could and going places) are fantastic, and definitely worth seeking out.
his novel the men's club was pretty good, but avoid the movie adaptation like the plague.
fun fact - his son is jesse michaels, lead singer of operation ivy.
It's crazy that a movie can be in production, and have a lot of buzz about it, and only the two main stars are mentioned. It would seem that the entire cast would be named by now.
I have spent way too much time on the net trying to ferret the answer out and I resent it.
