The fastest chihuahua in America!→[More:]This is footage from the 2nd annual national race. Twinkie did the qualifying race in NYC last year. She, like most of the chihuahuas there, did not cross the finish line.
That's how short the course was at the time trials, and I swear to you- less than half of the dogs crossed the finish line. They open the boxes and the dogs go... every direction! Out of the race course (with the Petco employees shortly behind), around behind the boxes to get to their owner, round and round in circles playing with each other. One of the heats took 3-5 minutes just to get one dog to cross the line.
It was freakin' hysterical. When it was Twinkie's turn, and I was at the finish line calling her, I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe, which made yelling to be heard above a crowd of crazy chihuahua people hard.
