Gaaaaaaargh those things have been building huge webs all over our patio since February, I mean HUGE as in 7 feet between the roof overhang and the next wall and they cannot be torn by conventional means and they freak me the hell out.

I was sitting on the couch last night and this tiny little albino spider was busily building a web between the lamp and the laptop. It was really cute. I watched her go back and forth, back and forth. And then I gently leaned forward to retrieve the beer bottle from the coffee table, and I accidentally squashed her. I felt really, really bad.
