Watching the second episode of 30 Rock and heard Alec Baldwin say, "What are you talking about? Everybody loved your little Lemon Party." I can't believe Alec Baldwin said that.
Ah, yes, the pure joy of slipping something past the NBC censors before it gets widely known... why do I think Tina Fey has a note pad in her desk where she just makes checkmarks whenever she gets away with something awful?

Ah, yes, the pure joy of slipping something past the NBC censors before it gets widely known.

I'm sure you wouldn't know anything about *that,* wendell.

I was NOT responsible for tubgirl's appearance on "Law & Order" in '05...

30 rock is the best show ever.

I'm just sayin'.

I remember my parents talking about "lemon parties" when I was a kid in the 1970s. Apparently it was some kind of game where friends got together and told each other their least favorite things about each other... Your Most Annoying Habit, Your Worst Fashion Choice, etc., like a cynical type of party game. (My parents apparently went to one not knowing what it was, exactly.)

So the reference might have been an internet joke, but given the ages of some of the people involved, it also might not.

Her name IS Liz Lemon...could be coincidence.

SassHat: I'm guessing that it isn't, it seemed like a pretty gratuitous thing to say. Also, given that one of the writer characters seems to enjoy searching for stuff on YouTube, I dunno.

Regardless, I heard Alec Baldwin say "lemon party" on the air.

Please instruct a foreigner; what kind of innuendo do I miss here? Lemon party?

Yes, 30 rock is good. Tina Fey is smart. Alec Baldwin is hilarious.
I'm afraid I find the Tracy Jordan guy extremely unfunny though. As do the people that I pushed this series on. Is that because we're dutch? What do you think?

I freakin' love Tracy Morgan. I don't even think he's acting, I think the man is actually insane. But in a funny way.

jouke: you can do a Google image search for "lemon party". It is not safe for work.

Ok TPS I'll put it down to a uniquely US sense of humour.

It's not safe for anywhere, really.

But I love it when they slip stuff in like that, so to speak.
